Gran Turismo 5 XL Edition coming January 17
Spec 2.0 update and all DLC included in GT5 re-release
Sony has confirmed a definitive version of Polyphone Digital's latest racer, entitled Gran Turismo 5 XL Edition, will be coming to North American shores this month.
Announced by way of the US PlayStation Blog, the special edition will sport the original game with all cars, tracks, locations, and original features in tact; as well as a coupon good for $20 worth of DLC, including the previously released Racing Car Pack, Car Pack 2, Course Pack, Racing Gear Pack, and Paint Pack. Wow. How's that for a jam-packed edition? ... No? Nothing? Moving on...
Over and above the downloadable expansions, the XL Edition will also ship with the tweaks and additions introduced in last October 2011's Spec 2.0 update, and come packaged in a fancy reversible coversheet showcasing the new Red Bull X2011 supercar (above).
Gran Turismo 5 XL arrives for North American race fans on January 17 for $39.99.
