Racing sim junkies all over the world have had to wait more than their fair share for the release of Gran Turismo 5, but apparently there is light at the end of the tunnel. Someone has managed to get his hands on an early copy of the game and has posted the entire opening cinematic on YouTube.
The video is over seven minutes long and does all it can to show off the many glistening cars and tracks in the game.
Gran Turismo 5, as you may well know by now, has been in production since before the PS3 itself came out, and was originally promised as a vague "2009" release. It was eventually given a final launch date of November 2. That didn't happen either. The game has cost more than $60 million to create.
Developer Polyphony Digital assures us that the game is now being printed and should be available for the holiday season. As of yet we don't have an actual release date to accompany that assertion, but that someone seemingly has a full retail copy of the game is surely a good sign.
