We’ve got a special treat for shmup fans today. GamesRadar is giving away PS3 download codes for two classic side-scrolling shooters: Cho Aniki and Gaia Seed. Entering is easy, but we only have a handful of codes.
These two Japanese titles have been brought over to PSN by MonkeyPaw Games. According to a representative for the studio, “A lot of cost goes into translation thus profitability becomes tenuous for many titles.†That’s why MonkeyPaw Games decided to skip the traditional and costly localization process to introduce these two Japanese classics to North American audiences, reasoning that it will not be too difficult for folks who aren’t fluent in Japanese to navigate through the game’s menus and controls.
