Gone Home, a game about a woman exploring her family's empty house after she comes home from overseas, will be available on PS4 and Xbox One on January 12. If you haven't heard of the game by now, it's something in the vein of Everybody's Gone to the Rapture or Dear Esther - a game with no combat, and no puzzles. Instead, you walk about the environment and learn about the story by examining items. Some people really appreciated this narrative focus. Some people really, really did not. If you only play on console, you’re about to find out where you land.
You might've also heard about the game coming to consoles last year - that never quite materialized, but things seem to be looking up now. If you've yet to experience Gone Home and find yourself curious, don't worry: I won't spoil it for you. Instead, I'll just leave this trailer here so you can take a peek:
The console version of Gone Home is being ported from Unity 4 to Unity 5 - meaning better graphics - and will feature 90 minutes of developer commentary.
