GOG is getting Wing Commander and Dungeon Keeper 2, which are both awesome

Earlier this summer GOG gave us a peek into its back catalogue of EA games with the release of Dungeon Keeper, Crusader: No Remorse, and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. Today, three more classic games are being to that collection with Dungeon Keeper 2 and a two-game package containing Wing Commader 1 and 2 Both games were highly influential after their release and worth playing if you're at all interested in the history of you hobby (or if you like fun).

Dungeon Keeper 2 is a PC game from 1999 that puts you in the role of a genuinely evil dungeon overlord. The game blends strategy, role-playing, and a few first-person action game elements when you personally take control of your minions and try to prevent pesky heroes and various irksome do-gooders from sticking their noses into your evil empire. The rest of the time you'll be laying traps and managing all the day-to-day aspects of a functional evil lair. This is a great learning experience for anyone who was afraid to pick the Renegade choices in Mass Effect.

Wing Commander 1 and 2 tell the first two chapters of the famous space faring combat simulation that set the bar for all space sims that came after 1990 — a time when simulations still had the guts to occupy two-thirds of the screen with a simulated cockpit and space-combat strategy involved hitting buttons to look out the left and right windows. It's a bit dated-looking, but the heart is there... the “Heart of the Tiger.”

Both game packs are $5.99 and available for PC. You can get them if you have the internet, which you do.
