God of War II strategy guide

XIV. The Steeds of Time
Run along the large chain and climb the side of the middle steed. Head to the far left of this first area and you'll find a lever. Pull it, and head back right to jump on the rope and slide onto the second horse. Now you'll face the keeper.

XV. Boss Battle - Theseus
This guy is one of the toughest bosses in the game, and is a great example of the multi-stage boss battles you'll fight through later. To start, he'll come at you with some basic three-hit combos, and he'll impale you on his spear. Keep your distance as much as possible, and be ready to rotate your thumbstick 180 degreesif you get speared. The best tactic here is to soften him up until he starts casting holes through the ground, then wade in with your rage attack.

Now, he'll scramble up the side of the doorway and start casting magic at you, and summoning Minotaurs. Alternate between shooting him with your bow and killing the creatures to restore health and magic. Eventually, he'll fall off, leaving you to perform a quick sequence of button presses to finish him off.

XVI. The Steeds of Time, Part2
Leave the corpse of Theseus in the doorway and head into the circular room. Head right out of here and grab the chest with the red orbs. Climb up the platform, and slide down the chain onto the middle horse you started on. Head to the main entrance and use the key to gain access to Cronos' chamber. You'll be granted Cronos' Rage, a magic ability. Soldiers will appear from the floor, and to kill them all you need to do is run around hammering L2 (your magic won't drain in this room).

Once they're dead, leave the room by the right-hand exit, and grab the Phoenix feather. Climb up the platform in the middle to grab the red orbs, then head to the left of the horse until you reach the blinker puzzle.

Puzzle focus
There are four levers in front of you. Yellow, green, red, and blue. First off, pull the green lever, and run left. Climb the wall and jump up the stairs to reach the fuse box. Quickly tap R1 to punch the box and release the first steed's blinker. Instead of heading back to the levers, run down the horse's nose as far as you can and you'll find a Gorgon eye. Now return to the levers.

Next, pull the red lever and head right to find this box. Come back, and activate the blue lever. Run right again, and use the grapple to reach the blue box. Finally, come back to the levers and pull the yellow one, before heading left to find the box and release the final blinker. Now run back down to the levers and press R1 in the middle to release the device.

You'll have to complete a Quicktime sequence to whip the horses into motion, but once you've done that, your job here is done. Run back to where you entered the Steeds of Time, and you'll be attacked by men and Minotaurs. Kill them, and run back along the chain to the temple.
