God of War II strategy guide

XXXII. Boss Battle - Icarus
Not so much a boss fight as an extended Quicktime event. Start pressing the right buttons, but don't worry about falling off the ledge - this is meant to happen. In between sequences pummel him with your attacks, and be ready to twirl the thumbstick to avoid the obstacles he throws you into. Eventually, you'll finish him off and float down onto Atlas' face.

XXXIII.Atlas
Run left along Atlas' face and save your game. Now head back to his nose, and climb up the wall there. Once you reach the top, run to the left, jump over the gaps, and then launch yourself to the first hanging platform. Keep moving along these platforms until you land inside Atlas' body.

There are bats and satyrs in here, so kill them, then drag the section of spine-bone back and leave it under the ledge on the left. Climb onto it, and you'll be able to access the chests above containing a Phoenix feather and some red orbs. Now drop back down, and pull the giant vertebrae back through the gap. You can now jump up to the higher ledge.

Now you come to a cavern with a platform down below, so float onto it, and you'll awaken another rock monster. Bash away at him as normal, but when he starts to slide into the lava, you'll need to jump onto the climbable wall on the left. Keep jumping around on this wall to avoid the rocks he throws at you, until you're allowed back onto the platform to finish him off. Once you've beaten him, push his rock body to the edge of the lava plate and use it to jump out of the area. In the next area, save your game and release the rock next to the save point. When it stops, jump onto it, and destroy the rock it is resting against. Now use it to grapple across the gap.

Use your Icarus wings on the updraft to get into the next room. Here you'll keep getting attacked by firefly creatures until you've destroyed all their nests (on the walls) so do that first. Now climb onto the ledge near the entrance, and move round the wall. Drop down onto the first ledge, grab magic and health, then jump across to the opposing wall to reach the exit.

Now climb onto the ceiling (above the pool of lava) and go up through the first gap to receive an urn and some red orbs. Now move to the second gap in the ceiling, and jump down on the spike. Back onto the wall and ceiling now, and move until you reach the pair of stalactites hanging from the roof. Chop them down and you'll activate an air-flow. Move round to the save point and save, before using the updraft to exit the cavern.
