Proving that you can’t let a little thing like house arrest get you down, Roman Polanski is using his time under lock and key to plan his next film.
An adaptation of the Tony Award winning play God of Carnage , which was first performed back in 2006, the film will follow two sets of parents whose children are involved in a fight at the park.
When the parents meet to discuss the incident, the gathering devolves into madness as the adults act more and more like children.
It’s been likened to Abigail’s Party , and even Mark Kermode admitted he laughed the whole way through it.
When the play opened on Broadway last March, it was headlined by Jeff Daniels, Marcia Gay Harden and James Gandolfini. No news yet if they have been approached with the project.
In the mean time, Polanski has the release of his upcoming thriller The Ghost Writer to look forward to, on which he is currently completing post-production from his Switzerland home.
