Calling all owners of shiny new technology! Peter F Hamilton, China Mieville and Neal Asher are the first examples of Pan Macmillan authors whose writing is available through Lexcycle’s popular Stanza electronic book reader for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.
Stanza users will have access to free excerpts from selected best sellers. Over the course of the next 12 months, more of the Pan Macmillan eBook catalogue will be made available on Stanza. If you have downloaded Stanza on your iPhone, you’ll be able to read excerpts of some Pan Macmillan eBook titles on the iPhone for free.
And because the full version of these titles are available to download from the Pan Macmillan website (for a fee), they can be loaded into Stanza Desktop software and synched with the iPhone as well. Unfortunately at this stage you can’t actually download whole purchased books directly from Stanza to your iPhone - just the free excerpts - but if you like what you read it should be pretty easy to head over to the web on a PC or Mac, buy the full eBook and synch that with your iPhone.
