Geoffrey Rush will voice a Green Lantern character
Takes Tomar-Re role
King’s Speech actor Geoffrey Rush has signed on to voice a character in comic adap Green Lantern .
The Oscar-winner will lend his vocals to an entirely CG character called Tomar-Re, who acts as a teacher for the new Green Lantern recruits.
You’ve got to feel sorry for Ryan Reynolds – not only did he not have a physical super-suit to wear, now he discovers that a ball on a stick that he’s been acting against for months will actually be voiced by the inimitable Rush.
The news comes after Green Lantern has been conspicuously absent from the headlines, while Thor and Captain America hog the limelight with flashy new trailers and images.
Apparently that’s all because final visual effects were being put in place for Lantern – and we should get a proper first trailer with the release of Thor .
Green Lantern opens 17 June.
