GRENADE TAG
The most excessive aspect of this Gears weapon isn't the volume of gore it manufactures, but the humiliation it inspires. To inch that close to your enemies, to have the confidence not to pull the trigger, to sucker punch them from behind with no retribution? It's the deathmatch equivalent of taping a "Kick Me" sign on their back.
As if that's not embarrassing enough, the recipient of the grenade tag inevitably takes a dumbstruck second to comprehend what's just happened and another second to run around in crazed circles like a decapitated chicken. Not such a bad analogy, considering those two seconds are all he possess before forcibly losing his own head, limbs and organs. Everything, really.
If and when this happens to you, however, go out with dignity...
Strategy: Take 'em with you
You may have a ticking time bomb strapped to your soon-to-be-carcass, but you're not entirely helpless. The jerk who tagged you sure was cocky to creep up like that, huh? Well, guess what - that means he's still right behind you. Return the favor.
You probably don't have time to shoot or tag him yourself, but you can turn his own weapon against him. Simply throw yourself in his direction like a kamikaze diver and, if you reacted quickly enough, savor the satisfaction of removing him from the game too. Sneaky bastard.
