Epic Games, the developer behind the bloody brilliant Gears of War, has announced that Unreal Tournament 2007 will be settling in for some searing shooter action on Xbox 360 in addition to the previously announced battlegrounds of PS3 and PC.
The game has also undergone a name change, now bearing the altogether more compact moniker UT3, and is expected to hit its chosen trio of platforms sometime in the second half of 2007.
However, Epic Games producer Jeff Morris told GamesRadar at yesterday's Midway showcase event in Las Vegas that the game could be pushed further back if they're not happy with it.
Fingers crossed that Epic will be smiling when the scheduled release rolls around, then, because we can't wait to get to the gritty with what looks set to be an incredible return for the Grand Master of deathmatch indulgence.
