July 22, 2024: This page has been updated with new stock of both The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom pre-orders and the special edition Hyrule Nintendo Switch Lite. In the US, we've seen new listings appear at Best Buy, meanwhile UK shoppers can now put their order in at Argos.
We've waited a few weeks now, but The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom pre-orders have started filtering onto the shelves. It's slow going (we're still waiting for a couple of retailers in both the US and UK), but you can now pre-order not just the game but also the limited edition Nintendo Switch Lite model as well.
In the UK, we'd recommend heading over to Very for the fastest delivery, or ShopTo for the lowest price. Meanwhile, the US is sticking with Best Buy, with release day pickup available and speedy shipping options up for grabs as well.
Of course, Nintendo also threw a console-shaped curveball at the end of their latest Direct as well. Like previous limited edition runs, these handhelds are likely to move fast, so we’d recommend getting those orders in before the big day. Once again, the US will be heading over to Best Buy for the Switch Lite pre-order (it's currently the only retailer with the handheld on the shelves), meanwhile UK players can grab theirs from Amazon.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom officially launches on September 26, 2024 at $59.99 / £49.99. The Nintendo Switch Hyrule Edition will also release on the same day, at £209.99 / $209.99.

Previous special edition Nintendo Switch Lite consoles have all been limited run, often selling out their initial wave and then appearing on retailer’s sites at slightly higher prices. Still, that initial wave is likely to be fairly large - so if you’re pre-ordering you shouldn’t have too much trouble securing your handheld.
