Future events for Pokemon TCG Pocket are mostly datamined leaks, but it looks like a full calendar.

New Pokemon TCG Pocket events are upcoming in the current schedule, with 2025 opening with all kind of limited-time events on the horizon for players to check out. Some of these events are confirmed and others are leaks as a result of community datamining, meaning they're not necessarily guaranteed, but for those who want a full event schedule, we've got it all laid out below. We've also got all the past events in PTCGP laid out too, so you know what you've missed out on and what it meant for the game's history.

So far we've seen several events in Pokemon TCG Pocket, both upcoming and ongoing alike, not to mention a few that are over and with no sign that they'll be returning. We'll list them all below:

  • UPCOMING EVENTS (Officially announced)
    • Trading (January 2025): The Pokemon TCG Pocket trading feature has been confirmed to be coming in January 2025, with all the available info at the associated page.
  • UPCOMING EVENTS (Datamined / Leaks / Unconfirmed)
    • Psychic Pokemon Mass Outbreak event (UNCONFIRMED: Jan 23 - Jan 29 2025): A mass outbreak event focused on Psychic types, including Mew ex and Mewtwo. A new Flair for Mew ex will also apparently be temporarily available in that time.
  • ONGOING / CURRENTLY LIVE EVENTS
    • Mythical Island Emblem Event 3 (LIVE: January 20 - January 27 2025): Complete special versus battles to earn new emblems and complete limited-time missions.
    • Charmander / Squirtle Wonder Pick Event (LIVE: January 7 - January 21 2025): Free and paid Wonder Picks will sporadically appear with unique Promo Card variants of both Charmander and Squirtle.
    • Free Promo Card (LIVE: January 20 - April 30 2025): Players can claim a free Promo Card variant of the Pokedex item card from the gift section of the app during this time period.

For completionism's sake, we've also included all the past events below, so people can see what they've missed and get some idea about the game's history.

  • PREVIOUS EVENTS
    • Mythical Island Emblem Event (ENDED: December 16 2024 - January 10 2025): Complete special versus battles to earn new emblems and complete limited-time missions.
    • Blastoise Drop Event (ENDED: December 31 2024 - January 14 2025): Solo battles with associated missions and rewards, as well as new Promo Cards: Blastoise, Snivy, Volcarona, Eevee and Cincinno.
    • New Years Event Missions (ENDED: January 1 - January 8 2025): Limited time missions with high rewards and a unique Pikachu Promo card.
    • Bulbasaur / Magnemite Wonder Pick Event 2 (ENDED: December 13 - December 20 2024): The second stage of the event.
    • Genetic Apex SP Emblem Event 1 (ENDED: December 9 - December 16 2024): Complete special versus battles to earn new emblems and complete limited-time missions.
    • Bulbasaur / Magnemite Wonder Pick Event 1 (ENDED: December 6 - December 13 2024): The first stage of a Wonder Pick event similar to the Meowth and Chansey one.
    • Venusaur Drop Event (ENDED: November 29 - December 13 2024): Similar to the Lapras event, with solo battles and rewards, but focused on the Grass-type Venusaur and introducing new Pokemon TCG Pocket Promo cards: Greninja, Haunter, Onix and Jigglypuff.
    • Genetic Apex Emblem Event 1 (ENDED: November 7 - November 28 2024): Players win online matches to complete missions and earn unique emblems.
    • Arcanine ex / Fire Pokemon Mass Outbreak event (ENDED: November 22 - November 28 2024): A new kind of event similar to the Meowth/Chansey one. The Pokemon TCG Pocket Mass Fire Outbreak event gives regular free Wonder Picks let you choose between a range of Fire Pokemon, with missions and rewards for collecting them.
    • Lapras ex Drop Event (ENDED: November 5 - November 18 2024): The Pokemon TCG Pocket Lapras ex event had players fight solo battles against Water decks to win unique Promo cards and other rewards.
    • Meowth / Chansey Wonder Pick Event (ENDED: November 1 - November 15 2024): Players could claim free Wonder Picks to earn special promo cards, as well as various currencies like Event Tickets.

Events are clearly a big deal in this game - the Lapras ex event has had some impact on Water builds in the best Pokemon TCG Pocket decks, and the ability to earn rewards can speed up the often slow crawl of progress. Keep an eye on this page and we'll keep updating as new information comes out!
