Who is Micah-10 in Destiny 2?
The Final Shape brings Micah-10 into the fold, but who exactly is this Destiny 2 character?
When Micah-10 gets mentioned in Destiny 2 right at the end of The Final Shape's campaign, you might be wondering if you're supposed to know who she is. While this endgame introduction is her debut as a voiced and modelled character, Micah-10 has actually existed in the lore of Destiny 2 for many years and was prominently written about in one of Beyond Light's lore books. But if you need a quick catchup on who she is and why she has suddenly appeared to help in the Pale Heart, here's what you need to know about Micah-10.
Obviously, there are some spoilers for The Final Shape campaign below, but if you're here, it's probably because you've beaten the campaign already.
Destiny 2 Micah-10 explained
Micah-10 is an Exo Hunter known for looking after unpaired Ghosts across the Sol System, helping them find their Guardians and their purpose. She is voiced by Pooya Mohseni.
At the end of Destiny 2 Iconoclasm mission, she comes through the Traveler portal with Mara Sov and the rest of the coalition forces. In the Destiny 2 The Final Shape endgame quests, you must help her recover lost Ghosts across all the destinations in the game but especially in the Pale Heart in the repeatable Destiny 2 Alone in the Dark quest – many flocked to the heart of the Traveler to help but fell to the Witness's corruption within.
However, if you played the Destiny 2 Beyond Light expansion, collected the penguin plushies, and read the associated letters to the Traveler, you've probably already heard of her. Originally, Micah Abram was a human child who moved to Europa, aged 10, with her two fathers, both of whom worked for Clovis Bray at the Eventide BrayTech facility – the birthplace of the Exos.
In her letters to the Traveler, Micah details a recurring dream where she is an Exo standing in the middle of a frozen lake with a dark sky above save for what turns out to the Traveler shining above and it even speaks to her. The dreams eventually stop and, in her final letter to the Traveler, she says she intends to leave for Mars. It's unclear whether she made it off Europa but, several years later, she ended up becoming an Exo at the Eventide BrayTech facility anyway.
At some point after that, she was reset nine times to become Micah-10, died, and was then resurrected as a Guardian without her previous memories, as is normal. However, Micah-10 managed to recover her old Exomind file on Europa, relearning her past life.
As a Ghost-gathering Guardian, her quest took her all over Earth. She and four other Guardians defended a village called Coyote in the Old Russia Cosmodrome from Fallen raiders. One of the villagers killed in the fight, Shinobu, was resurrected as a Guardian, and the group became the Six Coyotes, who scouted the entire Cosmodrome for other Guardian patrols.
Into the present day in Destiny 2's timeline, you can also hear Micah-10 attempting to interpret visions of the Traveler whenever you collect one of the eight Destiny 2 Traveler collectibles, which are needed to get the Destiny 2 Khvostov Exotic Auto Rifle.

Destiny 2 players were right: Bungie confirms an issue "in our code" making some god roll guns harder to get, and says it has already identified a potential fix
Denied their crafting fix, Destiny 2 players got so unlucky that they started conspiracy theories about the MMO's drop rates, and got so loud Bungie had to correct them
