How to lower your Wanted level in Star Wars Outlaws
Escaping Death Troopers in Outlaws needs a terminal or corrupt officer to lose your wanted level
To lose your Star Wars Outlaws Wanted level you'll need to either hack a terminal or a pay off a corrupt Imperial officer to stop elite Death Troopers, or a Corvette spaceship, chasing you down. Obviously learning how to stop being wanted will make life a lot easier, so here what you need to do.
Technically you can also hide until they give up, but wiping your record clean or bribing your way to freedom is going to be a lot quicker. Until you do, any nearby Stormtroopers will always try to arrest or kill you, as well as setting up checkpoints and blockades. A sub-optimal situation to be in for any level criminal trying to earn a living in Star Wars Outlaws.
If you want help with re-gaining your freedom then let me explain how to lower your wanted level in Star Wars Outlaws and get the Empire off your back, whether on land or in space.
How to lose your Wanted level in Star Wars Outlaws
Being Wanted in Star Wars Outlaws occurs when you commit a crime in front of the Empire (Stormtroopers, Imperial Officers, Tie Fighters, etc).
Here's how you can lose your Star Wars Outlaws Wanted Level.
- Stay hidden. If you're wanted but have yet to reach the highest level (6), just wait. If no Imperials see you for long enough, they'll eventually give up. The Imperial Cog symbol in the upper left shows how long you have to wait.
- Find corrupt Imperial Officers. In major settlements and cities you'll get Corrupt Imperial Officers marked on the map. Paying them Credits will cancel your Wanted level.
- Hack Imperial Terminals. In Imperial Camps and fortresses you can find Terminals (which will be marked on your map) that you can access using the Star Wars Outlaws hacking system to slice, and cancel your Wanted level.
- Take on the Death Troopers. At max wanted level, a camp of high-level Death Troopers appears, along with a an ISB agent. If you kill the agent, get their keycard, and use it on the terminal inside the tent, you can wipe your wanted level.
- Imperial Terminal Satellite (in Space). In orbit around planets you can find yellow satellites shaped like radar dishes. If you're not in combat, approaching one and holding down the button marked should clear your wanted level.
Given how inconvenient it is to be attacked on sight and navigate checkpoints as a wanted criminal, it's best to find the nearest option to solve the problem. Assuming your planert side. check the map to see what's around you and go for the closest officier/terminal/Death Trooper camp.
It's worth noting that terminals can be found on any size Imperial outpost, so you can usually hoover up some loot while you're there. And while Death Troopers are some of Outlaws' most powerful enemies, their camps usually have a plenty of credits, collectibles and rewards to make it worth the risk. Corrupt Officers on the other hand are the easiest method if you can't just hide, with the counterpoint of it costing you money, with no rewards to be had bar your freedom.
How to stop being Wanted by Factions in Star Wars Outlaws
If your Star Wars Outlaws faction reputation drops low enough with a group, they'll send hit squads after you, creating random combat encounters on land and in space. That usually involves groups of 3-6 enemies appearing on Speeders or in spaceships and attacking you.
If a faction wants to kill you like this, you'll need to find brokers and take on any work you can get for that faction. The trouble is that being unliked means you can only get a poor quality of job, so it might take a while to work your way into their good books. It's better to avoid falling that low in the first place and monitor your reputation - if you're on shaky ground with anyone consider taking on some side work to boost your standing. It's also worth keeping the data you can find and sell to factions until you need to gain some favor.
Keeping an eye on your faction level is especially important as there are regularly missions that will make you pick a side, with your standing rising and falling with each accordingly. The Star Wars Outlaws Eleera or Gorak choice you encounter early on is a perfect example here - you'll see a massive raise in rep with whoever you choose, and an equal fall with whoever you don't. These set ups happen a lot at the end of some quests and if you're already in low standing the wrong choice can be disastrous.
