Does Star Wars Outlaws have co-op or multiplayer?
Star Wars Outlaws doesn't have multiplayer or cooperative online play
Star Wars Outlaws doesn't have co op, multiplayer or online options, with the game a single player-only experience and no indication we'll see any change to that in the future. We'll go into further detail below about what information Ubisoft has released about the game, but for those who want the details up front - this is a single player game and no more.
Star Wars Outlaws will not have a co-operative or multiplayer mode
There was a little speculating if Star Wars Outlaws would have a multiplayer or co-op mode when it appeared to star a duo of smugglers, Kay Vess and droid partner ND-5. Especially with the game coming from Division studio Massive and with Ubisoft's sandbox games - things like Far Cry and some of the Assassin's Creeds - having had a co-op or multiplayer component in them.
Sadly, that's not the case this time, with digital storefronts confirming that Star Wars Outlaws is a 1 player game. Game director Mathias Karlson doubled down on this in an interview, clarifying that the developers are "super focused on delivering a single-player experience". Although given that he previously directed the very multiplayer Division 2, you can see why some people might assume he's bringing online skills to the project.
So, unless there's a radical update or multiplayer DLC drop in the future, this will remain a single player game. So it looks like you'll be exploring all those Star Wars Outlaws planets solo.
