How long is Indiana Jones and the Great Circle?

How long is Indiana Jones and the Great Circle? The time it takes to beat the game depends on several things, including how many of the extra puzzles and side quests you undertake. You can skip these and press on through the critical path in less than 20 hours, but you’d only be scratching the surface of Indy's global adventure.

It's much more likely that you'll get distracted by all sorts of archeological errands anyway, such as trying to crack the Indiana Jones A Date to Remember code. And if you're dedicated to seeing as much of the game as possible, you'll be spending upwards of 30 hours playing. Below, I've provided more specific guidance on how long it might take you to complete the Great Circle.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle length

The time it takes to beat Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will come down to how many of the side activities you engage with, which Indiana Jones difficulty options you pick, and your puzzle-solving abilities. Some side activities are quick and easy, such as the Indiana Jones ticket stub code, while others are much lengthier and are made easier when you have a disguise, such as the Indiana Jones Blackshirt key and uniform. Here are some estimated completion times so you can get a rough idea of how long it takes to beat the Great Circle:

  • Quick (critical path only): 14-18 hours
  • Standard (critical path and some side activities): 18-30 hours
  • Completionist (100%): 35+ hours

If you’re charging through Indy’s main quest like you’re in one of the movies, it’s going to take about 14 hours or more to roll the credits. Since some quests require you to buy expensive equipment, getting money through exploration and extra activities might slow you down, but you can still complete the story in under 20 hours – the writer of our Indiana Jones and the Great Circle review completed the game in about 18 hours with a good number of extra bits completed and collectibles found.

However, as I've said, there are many, many distractions in the game, particularly in the highly dense Vatican area that you visit first. It’s much more likely that you’ll beat Indiana Jones and the Great Circle in around 20-25 hours, particularly if you’re not using hints for puzzles. Obviously, if you’re going for the full 100% completion, you’ll probably be spending well over 30 hours hoovering every artifact and note up possible. They belong in a museum after all!
