Game of Thrones fans think Devin Oliver is playing Rhaegar Targaryen in season 7... because of his hair?

Arguably the biggest revelation of Game of Thrones' sixth season was the confirmation (of sorts) of Jon Snow's real parentage, strongly hinting that - as many fans have long theorised - Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen are indeed mother and father to the newly crowned King in the North.

If the latest rumour (via Reddit) is to be believed then Rhaegar could be making an appearance in season 7, and he'll be played by none other than Devin Oliver. Check out the US singer's Instagram post - which is captioned "I may or may not have made an appearance in Game of Thrones season 7" - below...

In addition to the fact that Oliver is a singer (Rhaegar sings to Lyanna in George RR Martin's books), this rumour seems to be getting a lot of traction because Oliver's hair is apparently a perfect match for Rhaegar's, which seems like suspect reasoning at best.

With that said, unlikely does not mean impossible, so there may yet be some truth to this latest bit of Game of Thrones scuttlebutt. We'll have to wait until next year to find out.

Season 7 of Game of Thrones will debut in summer 2017.
