Game Of Thrones & Continuum Ratings News
Good news all round, really…
Game Of Thrones continues to add viewers in the States with another record-breaking week.
Season three, episode four, “And Now His Watch Is Ended” was seen by 4.887 million viewers on HBO, its biggest audience yet. And after an episode like that, we can’t see the viewers going down next week. Then again, viewers can be a strange beast.
In the UK, Game Of Thrones season three kicked off on Sky Atlantic with a final consolidated viewing figure of 1.173 million for the premiere, just pipping The Following as the channel’s top show of the week. For episode two (the latest episode we have figures for), the figure dropped back to just below a million (988,000) and The Following beat it into second place for the week. But Game Of Thrones did better with its “encore” airings.
However, both Game Of Thrones and The Following are doing considerably better than anything else of Sky Atlantic. Blue Bloods , the next most popular show, is getting figures in the 300,000s.
Meanwhile, in Canada, the Lost Girl finale picked up 269,00 viewers on Showcase while a week later the Continuum season premiere did better with 375,000 in the same timeslot (about a 40% increases from Lost Girl 's finale). Both shows are down from their previous seasons but still hugely successful for Showcase.
