Game music worth putting on your iPod
Not all game music sucks. Check out these beauties
Soul Edge/Soul Blade (PSone, 1996)
The intro video to Soul Blade was rocking indeed, but it's actually an eclectic mix of musical styles. There's an off-beat punk snare in the drum beat, with electric guitar coupled with an eastern scales and cymbals, all underneath a female vocalist who sounds like she's a big Iron Maiden fan. Still, it's great in a cheesy kind of way.
Above: A tale of souls and swords, eternally retold. With cheesy rock/world fusion, natch
