A Funimation free trial is the best way to try out the anime streaming service for less.  Founded in 1994 and purchased by Sony in 2017, Funimation has become one of the most popular entertainment services out there – and for good reason.

With its extensive library of subbed and dubbed anime series, Funimation has a treasure trove of content to binge. And there's no better way to try out the service than courtesy of the Funimation free trial that is available for all.

While you have access to a very limited amount of content without being logged in, it's so heavily restricted (and full of advertising) that it's far from the ideal viewing experience.

Funimation offers a low monthly rate in order to stream content to your Xbox Series X, PS5, PC, smartphones, and more. It's one of the most readily available platforms, and it can be streamed to several of these devices at the same time, depending on which plan you opt for.

Is a Funimation free trial still available?

Funimation is currently offering a 14-day free trial that comes with any of the subscription plans, no matter where you're based in the world. You can sign up on its website now with your login information right now, so it's a risk-free way to try the service out and see if it's for you.

Maybe you're a seasoned otaku that keeps up with every new release from all the major Japanese publishing houses, or perhaps you grew up with some of the American dubs of popular series in the 90s and 2000s, either way, you're sure to find something new that's perfect for you.

Funimation has an estimated 15,000 hours of content, which includes anime series, movies, and OVA episodes. The highlights of which have to be the 5th season of My Hero Academia as well as Scarlet Nexus and the exclusive Demon Slayer: Kimetsu.

Fumination Plans

Funimation Premium: The cheapest version of Funimation Plus will run you $7.99 per month and features the full library of subbed and dubbed anime library across two simultaneous devices, such as PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, or your smartphone of choice.

Funimation Premium Plus: For $9.99 per month, you get everything that's included in the premium plan as well as support for streaming on up to five simultaneous devices at the same time as well as downloads for offline viewing and members-only benefits. If you're someone that watches a lot of anime on the go or wants to be able to hot-swap between their phone and games console around the house easily, this is the plan we'd personally recommend.

Keep in mind that these different plans are only available in the US. If you're based somewhere such as the UK, you will only have the Funimation Premium Plus plan to go for, which will run you £5.99 per month. The service is currently only available in the US, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
