Full Land Of The Lost trailer online

The full trailer for Land Of The Lost is now online, and you can watch it below.

To be honest, it’s a little disappointing, since it’s essentially an expanded version of the Superbowl spot that aired over the weekend.

Still, it expounds upon the idea a little more, which is handy for those of us in the UK who have barely seen a minute of the cheesy ‘70s TV show.

For the uninitiated, the show’s plot sees Park Ranger Rick Marshall and his kids, Will and Holly thrown through a rift in time and space to a world of dinosaurs, ape-men and the slow-moving, hissing Sleestak lizard men.

The film re-imagines the main characters as a widely dismissed scientist trying to locate time warps (Will Ferrell), his loyal, Mancunian research assistant (Anna Friel) and the redneck guide they stumble into (Danny McBride).

Otherwise, the ideas of the dinos, ape-people and Sleestaks remain pretty much the same.

It’s not exactly winning us over yet, though Danny McBride’s always good for a laugh and anything that lets Anna Friel wear shorts and a vest a lot scores well in our book. The movie opens on 31 July.
