Four actors in the running for Fantastic Fours Doctor Doom
Redmayne, Riley, Kebbell or Gleeson?
Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot could be on the brink of casting its villain, having reportedly whittled down the candidates to play Doctor Doom to a shortlist of four.
According to The Wrap , the film’s big bad will be played by either Eddie Redmayne, Sam Riley, Toby Kebbell or Domhnall Gleeson, with no indication as to a frontrunner at this stage.
Trank clearly has a fairly set idea of how his Doctor Doom will come across, with all four actors hailing from the UK and Ireland and falling in the 30 – 34 age bracket.
Jack Huston had previously been linked to the role, although the report is unclear on whether he is still in contention.
Whoever gets the nod will find themselves up against the newly-cast quartet of Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell, when the film opens in the UK on 18 June 2015.
