Microsoft has added Forza Motorsport 5 to its Xbox One Day One Edition console pre-order promotion in Europe. Day One Edition consoles come with a commemorative controller, a code to unlock an exclusive Achievement, and were previously offered with a free copy of FIFA 14.
Yesterday the company announced an Xbox One release date of November 22 in 13 markets. It also said it would be making available a limited number of additional Xbox One Day One consoles for pre-order. The Day One promotion has now entered a new phase, with UK retailers including ShopTo and Amazon offering a digital copy of Microsoft’s racer as a free bonus instead of FIFA. GAME has already sold out of Forza Day One Edition consoles, unless consumers opt for a £615 bundle which also includes Call of Duty: Ghosts Prestige Edition.
Priced at £430 / €500 / $500, Xbox One will release with 23 launch games and hit store shelves slap bang in the middle of PS4’s US and European launch dates.
