Forty weirdo monsters attack

Been to an arcade in the past 20 years? You've likely seen some form of city-razing Rampage tucked away, begging for people to plunk quarters into its empty stomach. The point is, you've probably played it before - evena lot. Well, you're getting yet another chance this winter with a new mutation of Total Destruction - on the Wii.

This enhanced version will add 10 more monsters to the large-enough roster of 30...ignoring, perhaps, that by monster 24 the designs were already running pretty thin. What's to look forward to with Wii's Destruction? Sarah the Spider, Plucky the Chicken and -please give us the strength to go on -Fifi the Rabid French Poodle.

The new version also promises enhanced graphics, though from the two released screens, the differences between Wii and GameCube are nuanced at best. We had a decent enough time withthe GameCube version back in April, so with four players even this might be fun... ish. No word on how it might use the motion-sensitive controls, but a two-fisted approach to people-eating would bring something new to the table.
