Fortnite Hydro 16 location: Where to collect metal at Hydro 16 dam

It's been a short while since it appeared on our radars, but once again the Fortnite Hydro 16 location is back in play thanks to the game's weekly assignments. For the latest visit, you need to collect metal there for one of the Fortnite Week 9 challenges, though handily there's plenty of it available both on top of the dam as well as inside and around the main processing building. The large drop-off from the peak of the dam makes this one of the more impressive sights in Fortnite, though there's always the nearby zipline to ease travel between the bottom and the top. If you need to find the Fortnite Hydro 16 location for the latest challenges or any other reason, follow our guide and we'll lead you straight to it.

Fortnite Hydro 16 is situated directly east of Slurpy Swamp, on the western edge of the large lake in grid D7 of the map. You should be able to spot the dam when you approach the area as it's pretty huge, and there's a big height drop off from the lake side to the plant side. The Fortnite Hydro 16 location encompasses both the road along the top of the dam and the power plant building below it, with a zipline connecting the two for easy travel between them – as the top of the dam is quite exposed, you may be better off heading for the building instead.
