Where to collect Fortnite Candy during the Fortnitemares event
We've got Fortnite Candy locations by the bucket so you can collect 15 sweet treats this Halloween
Collecting Fortnite Candy represents the main excitement of Halloween for many, particularly within a certain age group, and although we may not be back to proper trick or treating in person this year we can at least carry on this tradition virtually in the battle royale. This is not the first time we've been rounding up sweets in Fortnite, as it's become somewhat of a tradition as part of the annual Fortnitemares event in-game, but as there are subtle changes each year we're here to explain everything you need to know this time around.
To collect Fortnite Candy, you need to locate a bucket of treats then hit it with your pickaxe or otherwise destroy it to spill the contents. You only need to pick up the sweets for them to count towards this quest, meaning you don't have to worry about actually consuming them if your full health or shield is preventing you from doing so, and you can even pick them up from eliminated opponents. If you're ready to start a sugar high, then these are the Fortnite Candy locations you need to be aware of.
Where to find Fortnite Candy locations
You'll generally find Fortnite Candy in buckets as part of ghoulish displays outside private houses, though there are also a couple of shops that have them available too. Not every area around the island is celebrating Halloween just yet, so we've picked out a few locations above where things are already happening. Note that there seems to be a random element to where Fortnite Candy appears so it might not spawn in every location each match, and if another player gets there before you then you may just be left with a trick and no treat.
1. Fortnite Candy at Hey Boo!
Just to the west of Holly Hedges underneath Viking Vessel, you'll find the Halloween-themed Hey Boo! store. Browse inside and you should see plenty of Fortnite Candy in buckets on shelves.
2. Fortnite Candy at Pleasant Park
The residents of Pleasant Park have really got into the spooky spirit, and most of the houses have displays outside featuring Fortnite Candy in buckets
3. Fortnite Candy at Lazy Lake
It may be a more upmarket location, but Lazy Lake isn't too posh to celebrate Halloween. Visit the smaller houses in the northwest corner and the big one to the southeast for a treat in the form of Fortnite Candy buckets.
4. Fortnite Candy at Retail Row
Retail Row has the usual selection of spooky displays outside residences, so visit the two houses in the northwest corner and the one in the middle on the south side. For an extra Fortnite Candy bonus, visit the Noms store to the northeast as there are several buckets by the entrance.
