Former Capcom head Keiji Inafune opens two new companies
Comcept and Intercept open doors in Japan
Capcom's former head of development Keiji Inafune is coming back to gaming in a big way. Two big ways, actually. The father of Mega Man has officially announced the formation of two new companies; Intercept and Concept, with the former dedicated soley to gaming and the latter to produce content for all forms of entertainment media.
According toAndriasang's translations, Intercept is videogame production outfit located in Tokyo's Shinagawa area, and driven by Inafune's philosophy towards making games that are original, engaging and timeless.
Comcept's game-plan is a bit loftier. With its main office in Tokyo, the studio's business strategy includes the planning, sales and management of online games; mobile game development; event planning; book, video and music production; and pretty much everything and anything to do with entertainment.
More details on Inafune's new ventures will be revealed during his press conference on April 4th. You can also see Inafune posing for corporate mug shots at the official Comcept and Intercept websites.
