Forest talks Wild Things
“The dark scenes are the point of the movie…”
There has been a lot of recent chatter about Spike Jonze’s adaptation of Where The Wild Things being in some serious editorial trouble. No one seems to know for sure what’s happening with it after reports of re-shoots and disappointing test scores.
But while Jonze has been on damage control, MTV talked to Forest Whitaker , who voices one of the beasties and has seen at least one cut of the film. It seems he liked what he saw – and so did his kids. “It’s a good movie. I saw an early cut of it. I brought my kids to see it, and I was really impressed.”
Click the link for more, and start hoping that the floating release date (it’s been shoved into 2009) means they’re fine-tuning it, not slicing it into something unrecognisable…
