Love means not minding when your Muslim boyfriend visits terrorist websites in this Bristol-set drama, a vehicle for Skyfall ’s Helen McCrory that obliges her engineer cum West Country cougar to do some unlikely things out of misplaced loyalty to her beau (Najib Oudghiri).
Sex, suspicion and unmanned drones make for an intriguing mix, presenting the kind of post-9/11 paranoia that will no doubt appeal to Helen’s hubby, Homeland ’s Damian Lewis.
Yet while it’s good to see her take centre stage, her cool intelligence jars against a contrived script that comes close to insulting ours.
