Why you can trust 12DOVE
Since the entire game takes place in Piccadilly sewers, they've completely missed the opportunity to toss in a few fun minigames based on Roddy's household pastimes such as "miniature" golf and racing around in a toy car with sexy dolls - and we literally mean dolls - in tow. The three minigames that can be unlocked are instead feeble attempts at including the bottom touchscreen and not worth playing except to get through the damn challenge.
Although the developers figuratively missed the boat by limiting the game's scope, we certainly won't miss playing as the boat. Rita's ship, the Jammy Dodger, is the third playable "character" in Flushed Away and the star of the most atrocious missions in the game. Traveling in one, unstoppable direction, you have minimal control of the boat's speed as you try to lob objects at opponents at barely discernable distances while helplessly running into dangerous cans of tuna.
After only four hours with the game we beat Toad, the only difficult opponent, and expected to continue playing another, possibly more enjoyable new level while further exploring the promised "vast metropolis" of the sewer's city. Nope. Instead, the game suddenly ends, leaving us unsatisfying and utterly disappointed.
