First trailer and poster for The Five Year Engagement
"This is your wedding... you only get a few of these!"
Lucky old Jason Segel is punching above his weight again, this time as long-standing fiancé to Emily Blunt in upcoming relationship comedy The Five Year Engagement .
Reuniting Segel with Forgetting Sarah Marshall director Nicholas Stoller and producer Judd Apatow, the film will follow the young couple Violet and Tom, who find their upcoming nuptuals continually delayed by Violet’s burgeoning career.
Take a look at the new trailer below…
From what we’ve seen so far, Blunt and Segel look a genuinely sweet couple, and one that we could see ourselves rooting for as their relationship goes through a whole raft of stresses and strains on the way to the aisle.
There’s a great bit of slapstick on show as well, a highlight being when Blunt takes a crossbow dart in the knee! We also like the look of Animal Kingdom ’s Jacki Weaver as Blunt’s mum, the actress seeming to have the formidable matriarch routine down to a fine art.
The Five Year Engagement will be released in the UK on 27 April 2012. Take a look at the new poster below...
