Anyway, along with the below picture, courtesy of Collider, which shows Shrek and the mischevious munchikin Rumplestiltskin, new plot details have emerged, and it all sounds a little It's A Wonderful Life . Details below;
The loveable Scots-brogued Shrek, after getting married and having kids, is struggling with domestic existence. He strikes a deal with the underhanded Rumpelstiltskin, and ends up seeing what the world would be like without him in it.
In the Shrek free world, Donkey has been forced into cart-pulling duty, fat and lazy Puss in Boots trades his sword for a pink bow and the devious Rumpelstiltskin rules the kingdom.
New voices for the film include Kathy Griffin and Kristin Schaal voicing a pair of ogre-hunting witches and a resistance group led by Jon Hamm as, says director Mike Mitchell ( Sky High ), the best-looking ogre you’ve ever seen.
Well that hasn't exactly got our knickers in a twist, but we do love Jon Hamm.
The trailer for Shrek Forever Afte r is expected to premiere before screenings of Avatar this Christmas. The film is released July 9, 2010.
