First official shot of Sacha Baron Cohen in The Dictator
Beards are officially back in
Earlier this week we were treated to an on-set snap of Sacha Baron Cohen in his new film The Dictator . Now, the first official image from the film has been released.
Unveiling Cohen in his full dictator get-up, it has the actor combining a comedy wig and beard with some cool comedy shades. Or wait, are they just cool?
The Dictator has Cohen re-teaming with director Larry Charles, with whom he made both Bruno and Borat .
It's not based on a character Cohen created for The Ali G Show , though, instead taking its cue from Saddam Hussein’s book Zabibah And The King .
The plot follows a dictator who risks his life to make sure that democracy never infects his country. Ben Kingsley and Anna Faris also star.

The Dictator opens 11 May 2012.
