First look at Daniel Radcliffe in Kill Your Darlings
You're a poet, Harry!
Kill Your Darlings has released the first batch of on-set images, giving us a look at Daniel Radcliffe in costume as beat generation poet Allen Ginsberg.
Directed by first-timer John Krokidas, the film will explore Ginsberg’s life through his relationships with fellow writers Jack Kerouac (Jack Huston) and William S. Burroughs (Ben Foster) and how their bond is tested when Burroughs’ friend David Kammerer (Michael C. Hall) is murdered.
The first images show Radcliffe looking pretty authentic in Ginsberg’s trademark scarf, sweater and suit ensemble, while those specs are significantly different to avoid any Potter-based confusion.
Also on show is Chronicle star Dane DeHaan who plays Lucien Carr, another friend of the three writers and a key member of the beat movement.
Also starring Elizabeth Olsen, Kyra Sedgwick and Jennifer Jason Leigh, the film is set to open in 2013, with a release date yet to be confirmed. With On the Road arriving later this year, the legacy of the beat generation has never seemed more alive.
