The first images have arrived online from Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper , giving us our first look at Bradley Cooper as renowned marksman, Chris Kyle.
A US Navy SEAL, Kyle is famed for being the most lethal sniper in US military history, having served in four tours of Iraq, and gained a reputation on both sides of the conflict…
The new film will deal both with Kyle’s exploits in the field, but also his struggles at home, as he attempts to shake off that conflict mentality in order to be a better husband and father.
The new images show Cooper looking bulkier than usual (the actor put on some 40 pounds of muscle for the role), while also giving us a glimpse of Sienna Miller as his wife, Taya Renae.
Directed by Eastwood and co-starring Jake McDorman, Luke Grimes and Navid Negahban, American Sniper will open in the UK on 16 January 2015.
