First Hot Fuzz review arrives online
Get the lowdown on the rough cut of Wright and Pegg’s supercop spectacular
Most thesps take a dip in the roaring swell of the blockbuster and then run off with their mates for a couple of months to make a little, barely seen indie flick.
Simon Pegg grafts away for Tom Cruise and co-stars with David Schwimmer and then runs away with his mates to craft contemporary comedy cult classics that storm the box office. All this and he’s still a thoroughly nice chap.
With the instant zombie-hit Shaun Of The Dead already up their sleeves, Pegg and helmer/co-scribbler Edgar Wright have crafted the eagerly anticipated Hot Fuzz – and we’ve got a link to the film's first review.
The film follows the tale of London’s hottest cop, sent out to the sticks because he’s making the rest of the Met’ look like mugs. There, he encounters some interesting colleagues (Nick Frost) and realises that sleepy suburbia is not quite in the slumber it first seems to be.
