First Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 concept art reveals new character
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is going to have a major presence at San Diego Comic-Con next weekend - indeed, director James Gunn has already all but confirmed the debut of the first footage from the sequel - but in the meantime, Entertainment Weekly have unveiled some concept art for the film that features a first look at Pom Klementieff's Mantis.
Executive producer Jon Schwartz described the new character as someone who "has never really experienced social interaction. Everything she learns about dealing with people, she learns from the Guardians of the Galaxy, which is a very weird group to learn your social intricacies from".

Schwartz also teased some big personality changes for Groot in Guardians 2; "He doesn’t have the wisdom and experience of that Groot. He’s a younger Groot and a more rambunctious Groot. The question is, is he the same Groot, just smaller? Or is he a different Groot that’s sprung up from the seed of the first Groot?" In other words, expect Vin Diesel to be switching up his line delivery of "I am Groot"...
Directed by James Gunn and starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, Kurt Russell, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will hit UK cinemas on April 28, 2017 and open in US theatres on May 5, 2017.
