First batch of Guitar Hero II tunes to download

From Motorhead to The Red Hot Chili Peppers

Through the power of rock (and Xbox Live) there are now nine songs from Guitar Hero I available to download for Guitar Hero II on 360. These songs will be the first of a series of monthly song packupdates that will last until rock and roll is dead.

The songs will be available in packs of three for 500 Microsoft points each. To go with the new songs, Live users will be able to download exclusive theme packsand gamer pics for 150 and 100 Microsoft points respectively. The theme packs may not make us better guitar players, but we're willing to try anyway.

Track Pack 1:

  • Motorhead - "Ace Of Spades"
  • Ozzy Osbourne - "Bark at The Moon"
  • The Exies - "Hey You"

Track Pack 2:

  • Edgar Winter Group - "Frankenstein"
  • Queen - "Killer Queen"
  • The Donnas - "Take It Off"

Track Pack 3:

  • Red Hot Chilli Peppers - "Higher Ground"
  • Bad Religion - "Infected"
  • Incubus - "Stellar"

No sign of the Halo theme tune though. And that makes us sad.
