Final Fantasy XIII-2 "Change the Future" trailer drops major story details
Over seven minutes of revelations, plus some familiar faces return
Clocking in at over seven minutes long, the latest trailer for Final Fantasy XIII-2 wastes no time revealing quite a few new story details. It begins with Lightning being dragged into a chasm by a dark force into an alternate dimension, finally showing the event that led to her erasure from the timeline. Caius, the purple-haired main antagonist, also gets a lot of screen time here, along with the tidbit that he's apparently unkillable (we won't spoil it, but there's a dramatic scene between Caius and Noel at the end of the trailer too).
For those who played FFXIII though, possibly the most significant piece of information is the confirmation of returning characters, including aged versions of Fang and Vanille (along with aged versions of Snow and Hope, which we already knew about), and a brief glimpse of Sazh and his son Dajh, although they appear to be the same age as in FFXIII. The trailer also features a new character that appears to be Caius's sidekick - we don't know much about her yet, but expect more info as soon as we have it.
