Final Fantasy creator Sakaguchi announces Party Wave iOS title
Surf fantasy
The studio of famed Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi has just announced their latest project. Rather than a large-scale console RPG like several of their previous projects (Blue Dragon, The Last Story) it will instead be a small-scale iOS title called Party Wave.
As you might have gleaned from the title, Party Wave is a game about surfing. "Surfing is one of my hobbies and I’m pleased to make it an iOS game," Sakaguchi wrote in a press release. "When surf is small and many are surfing, surfers sometime catch the same wave and call out “Party Wave!” When I heard those voices, I decided to make this game where game players can experience the shared fun of surfing. It’s nearly completed. Hope many people enjoy it when it’s available."
They've released a trailer for the title that showcases some of gameplay involved, and even includes a few scenes with Sakaguchi in sexy, sexy beachwear. Viewer warning: dangerously sexy mustachioed game designers ahead.
