The steeper learning curve may frustrate some, but sticking with it will ultimately pay off as you learn to use the right analog stick and left triggers to spin, sidestep, and otherwise flummox your opponents. Eventually, scoring will happen because of an innate understanding of the controls instead of a series of happy accidents resulting from frantic button mashing. Tallying goals isn't easy, but if it were then that just wouldn%26rsquo;t be right. When one is put past the goalkeeper, you%26rsquo;ve earned it for sure.

The heart of the single player game is an updated Manager Mode. Thankfully, unlike last year, you aren%26rsquo;t forced to start off with the dregs of the lower-tier squads. Want to take over Barcelona or Man U right off the bat? Go right ahead. After all, with their sky-high budgets and star-studded rosters, it%26rsquo;ll make the adjustment to the newest control options easier to learn.

DescriptionA pretty fun and accurate - a FIFA game fan's term for difficult - handheld game that makes for a suitable soccer fan's traveling companion. Not quite enough of an evolution, however, to warrant replacing your earlier DS FIFA games.
