FIFA 23 Futties guide with special pink cards for Ronaldo and Vinicius Jr
Ryan Kent and Joe Gomez also get fresh items in your FIFA 23 Futties guide
FIFA 23 Futties is finally over – although it gave us one of the longest running campaigns in EA Sports history. The promo saw overpowered FIFA 23 cards for legends such as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo drop across July and August, and throw up must-complete SBCs for the likes of Milan winger Rafael Leao. Below we explain how it all worked, before taking you through the final FIFA 23 Futties cards list.
What exactly are FIFA 23 Futties?
FIFA 23 Futties marks the return of an annual campaign where, traditionally, the community chooses players to be made available in SBCs (Squad Building Challenges). However, it’s been changed this year, with most Futties cards being dropped straight into packs instead – and it’s not a popular switch. Additionally, 100 of the best items from past campaigns, such as FIFA 23 Winter Wildcards and FIFA 23 Centurions, are back in packs for a limited time.
Futties cards fit into three types. There are Futties Heroes items, which crossover with FIFA 23 Heroes, although the only one available as of Monday, July 24 was Tim Cahill (ST, Australia, 95). Thankfully he's since been joined by Yaya Toure (CM, Ivory Coast, 97) and Diego Forlan (ST, Uruguay, 95).
Next up are Futties Premium cards, such as Cristiano Ronaldo (ST, Al Nassr, 99) - good luck finding him, as he’s been extinct on the transfer market for much of the campaign. Old rival Lionel Messi also gets a 99-rated ST item representing his new club, Inter Miami.
Last up are standard Futties cards, such as Diogo Jota (ST, Liverpool, 96) and Robin Gosens (LWB, Inter, 93). All cards can be found in the list at the foot of this guide.
Who is in FIFA 23 Futties Best Of Batch 1?
100 cards made the FIFA 23 Futties Best Of Batch 1 drop on Friday, July 21 – far too many for us to list them all here. The highest rated were TOTY Icons Ronaldinho (LW, Brazil) and Gerd Muller (ST, Germany), both of whom returned to packs with OVRs of 95. Not far behind were Ruud Gullit (CF, Netherlands, 94) and Alessandro Nesta (CB, Italy, 94).
More interested in current-day players? Then Kevin de Bruyne (CM, Manchester City) owns the top-ranked item. His Winter Wildcards item carries an overall rating of 93. Much more affordable was Brighton left-back Pervis Estupinan. His FIFA 23 Rulebreakers card has a rating of 83, and can be yours for 10,500 FIFA 23 coins.
Who is in FIFA 23 Futties Best Of Batch 2?
FIFA 23 Futties Best Of Batch 2 landed on Friday, August 4. Among its standout items was another incredible Kevin de Bruyne card – his FIFA 23 TOTY item, with an OVR of 97. Lionel Messi also saw his Team Of The Year card exhumed for one last run in PSG colours, with an overall rating of 98.
Mixed in were some double-ups, giving you an element of choice. For instance, you could pick between one of two cards representing Alexandr Zinchenko (LB, Arsenal, 90). Both originating in the FIFA 23 FUT Birthday campaign, one offers five-star weak foot, while the other boasts five-star FIFA 23 skill moves.
How about FIFA 23 Best of Batch 3?
200 previous cards returned to packs on Friday, August 18 to form the FIFA 23 Futties Best of Batch 3. The Shapeshifters Icon version of Pele was the top-scoring item, with the Brazilian legend boasting an OVR of 99. Two Trophy Titan heroes joined him: Diego Forlan (ST, Uruguay, 92) and Jerzy Dudek (GK, Poland, 89).
Another Messi card also found its way back into packs: this time around it was the Argentine's 98-rated TOTS item. Other returnees from that same campaign included Jude Bellingham (CM, Dortmund, 97), Bernardo Silva (CM, Manchester City, 95) and Chris Smalling (CB, Roma, 94).
What is the FIFA 23 Futties end date?
This was a long campaign, with EA Sports FC 24 around the corner. FIFA 23 Futties was expected to last five weeks in total, with an array of new cards on the first three Fridays in August – so 4, 11 and 18. The promo would then come to a close on Friday, August 25 – in theory! In fact we got even more items on that day, with the official end date turning out to be Friday, September 1. It was then replaced by FIFA 23 Pre-Season.
