FIFA 14 Ultimate Team Guide

Since its inception as a downloadable add-on to FIFA 09, FIFA’s Ultimate Team mode has become a wildly popular global phenomenon. Thanks to a dedicated fanbase spending their hard-earned money on collectible player cards to create custom online fantasy teams, FUT has generated hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue for Electronic Arts. While most players find themselves spending a few bucks here and there, a select few drop quite a bit more than that. But not you! This guide will get you up to speed while not breaking your bank in the newest and best version of Ultimate Team - FIFA 14’s.

Before we go any further, there are 3 main tips that you need to understand to enjoy FUT. As long as you keep these in mind, you’ll avoid the common stumbling blocks that can occur once you set down the FIFA Ultimate Team path.

1) Have a plan - If you have a clear plan, you will make smart decisions with your roster and be able to further your team quickly and efficiently.

2) Use quality resources - There are many places around the internet dedicated to giving you information you need to be an effective team-builder in FUT. Be sure to use these, because your opponents are and they will save you from frivolous spending.

3) Stay offline to start - For the most part, you’re going to want to refrain from the urge to go online right away. If you jump in too fast, you’ll find yourself matched up with players with unbelievable teams that can quickly turn you off of the mode.

In this guide, we’ll dive into each of these topics and set you up for success. Ultimate Team can be fantastic if you know what you’re doing and how to build a squad. So let’s do it!
