Following Stuart Hall's look at fiction magazines on the blog this week, we're pleased to announce that this Sunday (18 October) Hub magazine celebrates its 100th issue.
Hub is a weekly (ish) electronic magazine and each issue contains a short story, reviews and usually a feature or two. Full disclosure: Hub publisher, Lee Harris, is one of our regular site bloggers . He tells us, "I'm absolutely thrilled that Hub has reached its centenary already." He continues: "It's a team effort, and we wouldn't still be here if it wasn't for the superb fiction and articles we're sent from writers all over the world." Those people include the likes of Jetse deVries, Marianne de Pierre, Mur Lafferty, Mike Carey, Andy Remic, Tony Ballantyne, Sarah Pinborough, Eric Brown and Mark Morris.
Issue 100 contains the winner of the recent Hub short story competition, an original piece of fiction from best-selling novelist and comic-writer Dan Abnett , a bunch of reviews and features, and a compo to win FAQ About Time Travel on DVD.
Subscribing to the mag is free - their authors are paid thanks to sponsorship from HarperCollins - so why not sign up by email or RSS over at their site? Congrats on reaching the big 100, Hub!
