FC 24 Thunderstruck saw EA build an entire campaign around Black Friday. While the big sales event is over for another year, these EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate Team cards can score upgrades throughout December. They're not limited to modern players, either – legends available include Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry and Eric Cantona. You can see those guys on the FC 24 Thunderstruck Icons clubs table, before scrolling on down for the FC 24 Thunderstruck tracker.
What’s happening with FC 24 Black Friday?
As in previous years, EA unveiled a mix of promo packs, lightning rounds and SBCs to tie in with Black Friday. Sadly there were no new contenders for the FC 24 Best Kits list. The real biggie, however, is FC 24 Thunderstruck cards. These bring both potential OVR upgrades and fresh FC 24 PlayStyles for some of the biggest names in the game. They landed on the day itself, and are the second brand new promo in consecutive weeks, following on from FC 24 FC Pro Live.
How do FC 24 Thunderstruck upgrades work?
FC 24 Thunderstruck cards are upgradable, based on real-life player performances – and yes, that includes Icons. Starting from Friday, November 24, players earn boosts for the real-life results of the clubs they represent. The criteria for these upgrades are listed below. It’s the first time we’ve ever seen upgradable Icon cards, and you can view which team each legend is assigned to in the FC 24 Thunderstruck Icons clubs table. The full FC 24 Thunderstruck tracker, meanwhile, is at the foot of this guide.

Who is in FC 24 Thunderstruck Team 1?
FC 24 Thunderstruck Team 1 landed at 2pm on Friday, November 24, to tie in with Black Friday. Rumours circled all week that Kaka (CAM, Brazil, 90) and Eric Cantona (CF, France, 90) would be drafted in from the FC 24 Base Icons list, and sure enough they came true. Indeed, we scored 13 upgradeable Icons in total, including Ronaldinho (LW, Brazil, 94), Thierry Henry (ST, France, 92) and Edwin van der Sar (GK, Netherlands, 89).
Contemporary players were also well stocked. Vinicius Jr (LW, Real Madrid, 90), Neymar Jr (CAM, Al Hilal, 90) and Bernardo Silva (CM, Manchester City, 90) fronted the selection of superstars on offer, while Marie Katoto (ST, Paris SG, 90) and Kadidiatou Diani (RW, Lyon, 90) were the first female players announced for the campaign. Sadly, no members of the FC 24 Heroes catalogue made the cut on this particular promo.
What about FC 24 Thunderstruck Team 2?
FC 24 Thunderstruck Team 2 didn't happen. That was always likely to be the case, given that results from Friday, November 24 count towards the promo. It would have meant players missing at least one league fixture, and inevitably outcry among the community. Instead EA kicked off December with a completely new promo: FC 24 Radioactive. Whack that link for all the details.
