Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath
On Xbox | By EA
Strange indeed, that Oddworld would shift from its chuckling, guffing platform heroes to a combination of third-person platformer and first-person shooter. Stranger still that Stranger would do it so well: it's a gigantic, intense, lunatic ride through the Weird West into Oddworld-style sci-fi – and should be standing tall as one of Xbox's finest titles, not slouching in the shade.
Was it too Odd for the shooter crowd, and too shooty for the Oddworld followers? Either way, you owe it to yourself to see a next-generation game that arrived a generation early.
