The greatest games that nobody bought
The Mark of Kri
On PS2 | By Sony
You might think you've seen it all with third-person sword-swingers: the same combos, the same super moves, the same life bars at the top of the screen and pattern-based bosses waiting at the end of each level. Kri took a different approach, clearing out all those cliches to give its massive hero room to stalk unaware enemies for archery practice, or smash through their ranks six men at a time.
If other action games are all about stylish flash, Kri is a refresher course in old-fashioned brutality: PS2's only fully-featured barbarian simulator.
