Did you know that there is such a thing as The World Dog Awards, presented by The CW? I sure didn't! But it's true, and not only are these awards a very real thing, they even have a category for best dog featured in a video game. The awards ceremony was actually held in January, but it was today that Bethesda shared a picture of River, the real-life canine that Dogmeat is based on, with her golden fire hydrant. Because of course it's a golden fire hydrant.
Let us take a moment to reflect on the day that Dogmeat was finally, officially recognized for being the good dog she is.
